Kognita The Swiss IQ test

IQ test, free and without sign-up

30 questions from five areas of reasoning, 25 minutes, no account and no email address. You see where you stand immediately after the test. Take the time in one block and make sure you can work undisturbed: interruptions cost points, measurably so.

Before you start

Time
The clock starts the moment you begin and cannot be paused. If you run over, the result is calculated from the answers given up to that point.
Aids
Pen and paper are allowed and genuinely useful for the number series. A calculator gains you nothing: what is asked for is not calculation speed but whether you see the rule. Looking things up or asking a language model measures its ability, not yours.
Guessing
Guessing is worth it once you can rule out two options. The scoring accounts for guessing, so a considered guess does no harm. Clicking blindly does.
Order
Within each of the five areas the questions get harder. Do not get stuck: move on and come back.
Device
The test works on a phone, but the figural questions are easier to read on a larger screen. If you have the choice, use a tablet or a computer.
Cost
The test is free, and you see where you stand before having to decide anything. Only the report with the exact value and the profile costs money.
